I'm going to miss my brother when he leaves. More than usual I think.

John is still trying to get into AmeriCorps.

I can't wait to go school shopping.

I want to go to the Wild Life Zoo.

I'm really proud of Leanne's birthday present.

I need to get Mel another birthday present.

There are no links just yet for the last two.

There are a few things I want to take care of this summer before my last semester which looks like it's going to be a tough one.

I want to save enough money so I don't feel like shit throwing down a grand for MaxFunCon 2010.

I want to send in my DJ list to Radio Free Phoenix (I tried!).

I want to fix my iTunes library to the best of my ability.

I want to read Catch 22.

I want to actually be active this summer, not just stay in the A/C.

I want to do my own FAFSA (with Leanne's help).

I want to create a portfolio for The Village Voice.

I want to write letters to the people I miss.

I want to send a story to AG.

I want to watch every episode of The Twilight Zone with John.
 

So there.

I'll get over it soon, just let me have this for now.

I've realized I like writing things in list form. Less boring.

So far this summer:

Went to MaxFunCon and met my heroes/had a great time.

Saw my brother graduate from high school.

I've watched Leanne graduate and Obama speak.

Had a Sunny marathon with Mindy at Mel's house.

Went to a Diamondbacks game with Mel, Cisco and John.

Met David Spindel.

Went to Tombstone with John.

Saw The Thing.

Went to San Diego with Leanne.

Went to Tampa to see my brother and family with John.

Had some quality Charles time.

Got a dog.

Had a small party that Justin attended.

Told the Murrieta story on stage with Charles.

Went to North Carolina for a few hours.

Merlin Mann changed my life.

Got a free tire for being a nice young lady.

Scott Simpson handed down life lessons to me.

Was in a documentary.

Slept till 1 p.m. most days.

Lost ten pounds.

Was informed I will be Phoenix Magazine's new intern.

Saw Mindy and Gilbert off.

Finally bought spaced.

Had a nice lunch with Sean.

Finally saw Rocky V.

Had dinner with Victoria.

Bought Beastie Boys tickets.

Went to a jam session in Tucson.

Had western week.

Saw Terminator 2 and Star Trek.

Told Chris Hardwick I had a crush on him at 13.

Published the psychobilly story.

MaxFunCon could not have been more fun/ridiculous. A day to day might be very boring to read, but certainly not for me to recap. However, I'll just put this in list form.

 

1. Jordan Morris spent the night in our condolet the first night and Leanne and I took pictures with his shoes that were parked on our first floor.

2. Merlin Mann loved us, just loved us. He to name the ass and he'll kick it

3. Scott Simpson said I was a nice young lady and gave me a few tips on life.

4. Jesse Thorn said I was beautiful.

5. I got a picture with Scott Simpson and Adam Lisagorrrrr. My life is wonderful.

6. After party in room 23 brought JasPer, Albert, friends like Bryce and Sara, Jordan and all three guys of YLNT.

7. Many people knew who Leanne and I were.

8. Leanne and I had lunch on top of her car which almost became our coffin while we drove through thick fog on the edge of cliff.

9. I told Chris Hardwick I had a crush on him when I was 13 and then invited him to our after party not knowing he was a recovered alcoholic.

10. Met a guy who looked just like Aaron Valdivia.

11. Met a guy who looked just like Matt Seiler.

12. Met a guy who looked just like my brother.

13. Met a guy who looked just like Jemaine Clement. No I did not make out with him. We talked about our significant others and how they don't get podcasts.

14. Got street cred as Jordan walked out of our room in the morning, then approached us in the lunch line to say he had just found his room.

15. The first person we saw was Jesse Thorn, whom we screamed at and later ran into, drunk, on a mountain.

16. Watched Jordan and Leanne get high.

17. Gave Adam Lisagor a big hug.

18. Fell in love with Scott Simpson.

19. Ate really good food.

20. Got really drunk for two nights with no hangover.

21. Met Amanda and Hunter and stayed in Sandy Eggo for a night.

22. Got in stuck in traffic and danced to The Clash after standing up through the sunroof to see what the deal was.

23. Wore my pretty Banana Republic dress.

24. Watched Ellie Mann do a bunch of adorable stuff.

25. Jordan remembered our names.

26. Jesse knew who we were.

27. Got a big hug from Jesse right before we left.

28. Wanted to buy Scott Simpson's socks off of him but Leanne talked me out of it.

29. Bought a giraffe finger puppet for Charles named Gasper.

30. Met Jasper.

31. Was close to John Hodgman but didn't meet him.

32. Skipped class.

33. Sat at table 9.

34. Showered once.

35. Got a bunch of free stuff.

36. Got Jimmy Pardo's autograph for Zac. Knew the man was kidding. Didn't care for it.

37. Said noodle, good evening, Adam Lisagorrr and Scott Simpson, you're my hero about 800 times.

38. Leanne and I told Scott Simpson he looked like Cameron, and he agreed.

39. Learned what Twitter actually does.

40. “I'm proud of Leanne!”

Oh MaxFunCon, where do I begin? Well I guess I won't. I'll do that later.
